🎮 How to Play

Welcome to your classic checkers showdown! The goal is to capture all your opponent's pieces or block their moves. Players take turns moving one checker diagonally forward to an adjacent dark square. Jump over an opponent's piece to capture it, removing it from the board. If you can jump, you must! Land on the far side of the board to "king" your piece, granting it the powerful ability to move and jump both forward and backward. This turn-based strategy is easy to learn but offers deep, rewarding challenges for all ages.

Desktop (Mouse/Trackpad):
• Primary: Click on a checker to select it, then click on a highlighted green square to move.
• Shortcut: Double-click on a checker to confirm a move if multiple jumps are available.
