🎮 How to Play

Scopa is a classic Italian card game where players aim to capture cards from the table by matching values. Each player is dealt 3 cards, and 4 cards are placed face-up on the table. On your turn, play a card from your hand to either:
• Capture: Match a card on the table or combine multiple cards that add up to your card’s value (e.g., play a 7 to capture a 5 and 2).
• Discard: If no captures are possible, place your card on the table.
The round ends when all cards are played. Score points for capturing the most cards, the 7 of coins (settebello), or achieving a scopa (sweeping all table cards).

• Desktop (Keyboard): Use the mouse to click and drag cards. Press Spacebar to confirm selections.
• Mobile/Touchscreen: Tap to select cards and swipe to play or capture.
• Shortcuts: Press H for hints (if enabled) or R to replay the round.

🎯 Objectives

The goal of Scopa is to outscore opponents by capturing valuable cards and achieving scopas. Key objectives:
• Capture high-value cards: Prioritize the 7 of coins, face cards, and coins (coins suit).
• Win rounds: Earn points for most cards captured (1 pt), most coins (1 pt), settebello (1 pt), and scopas (1 pt each).
• Long-term strategy: Balance aggression (capturing) and defense (denying opponents key cards). The first to 11 points wins!
