🎮 How to Play
Welcome to Solitaire '95! Your goal is to build four foundation piles, sorted by suit from Ace to King. Begin by drawing cards from the deck to reveal hidden cards in the seven tableau columns. You can move cards between columns, but only in descending order (King to Ace) and alternating colors (red on black, black on red). Uncover face-down cards by moving the cards on top of them. Success requires strategy in sequencing your moves to clear the tableau and build your foundations. Keep playing until you’ve sorted all cards or no more moves remain.
🕹️ Controls
• Mouse (Desktop/Laptop): Click and drag cards to move them. Click the deck to draw new cards.
• Touchscreen (Mobile/Tablet): Tap and drag cards to move them. Tap the deck to draw.
• Keyboard Shortcuts: Use the ‘D’ key to draw from the deck. Use arrow keys for navigation and ‘Enter’ to select and place cards (if supported).
• Auto-Complete: Double-click or double-tap a card to automatically move it to the foundation pile if a valid move exists.
🎯 Objectives
The primary objective is to win the game by successfully moving all 52 cards into the four foundation piles, each sorted by suit from Ace to King. Your short-term goal is to strategically clear the tableau by revealing hidden cards and creating empty columns, which can be used to temporarily hold Kings or long sequences. You win by completely sorting the deck, maximizing your score based on speed and moves. Thoughtful planning of each move is key to victory!
💡 Pro Tips
• 🎪 Always prioritize revealing hidden cards in the tableau. Exposing new cards gives you more options and is crucial for long-term success.
• ⚡ Use empty columns wisely. An empty column is a powerful asset; try to reserve it for placing a King or a long sequence to unlock deeper cards.
• 💰 For a higher score, build your foundations evenly. Don’t focus on just one suit; moving cards to the foundations earlier can give you more maneuvering room.
• 🏆 Turn off the automatic draw feature (if available) for a greater challenge. This classic ‘95 mode forces you to plan three cards ahead, honing your strategic skills.
• Keep an eye on the deck! Sometimes, a needed card is just one draw away. Manage your draws carefully to avoid cycling through the deck unnecessarily.
