🎮 How to Play

Welcome to Spider Solitaire! Your goal is to build eight complete suit stacks from King down to Ace. Start by arranging cards in descending order (like a 10 on a Jack). Click a card to move it to a valid stack. Complete a full run of a single suit from King to Ace to clear it from the tableau. Uncover hidden cards by moving the ones on top of them. Draw new cards from the stock pile in the bottom right when you run out of moves. Mastering this classic solitaire game is all about strategic sequencing and thoughtful moves.

🕹️ Controls

• Primary Control: Use your mouse to click and drag cards to move them. Alternatively, click on a card and then click on your desired destination pile to move it automatically.
• Auto-Complete: The game will often automatically complete a valid sequence and move it for you if you click the bottom card of the run.
• Touchscreen Controls: On mobile devices, simply tap to select a card and tap a destination pile to move it. The drag-and-drop functionality also works on touchscreens.
• Keyboard Shortcuts: Use 'Undo' (Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z) to reverse your last move. 'Hint' (H) can suggest a potential move. 'New Game' (F2) starts a fresh session.

🎯 Objectives

The primary objective in Spider Solitaire is to clear the entire tableau by building eight foundation stacks. Each stack must be a complete sequence of 13 cards, all in the same suit, running from King down to Ace. Your short-term goal is to strategically uncover face-down cards to access more moves. You win the game once all eight suits are successfully built and removed from play. Strategic planning and exposing hidden cards are the keys to your victory.

💡 Pro Tips

• 🎪 Always prioritize exposing hidden cards. More face-up cards mean more potential moves and greater flexibility in your strategy.
• ⚡ Build on higher-rank cards first. For example, placing a card on a King is often better than on a lower-value card, as it keeps more options open.
• 💰 In the four-suit (hard) mode, focus on completing runs within a single column before moving the entire sequence to a foundation. This creates valuable empty columns.
• 🏆 Use empty columns strategically. They are incredibly powerful for temporarily storing kings or breaking up long sequences to access specific cards below.
• Don’t rush to draw from the stockpile. Exhaust all possible moves on the tableau first, as drawing new cards can sometimes complicate the board.
